This group is designed to support children who have experienced recent family change.


COURSE DESCRIPTION & REGISTRATION

10 weekly sessions.

This group is designed to support children who have experienced recent family change. Types of family change may include divorce, remarriage, moving, death of friend, family member or pet, a parent with a drug or alcohol problem, changing schools, incarceration of a family member or more.

Space is provided so that children can better understand their feelings related to the significant change they and/or their family is experiencing.  They are able to safely share how it impacts them and to process their feelings through play and activities.

The group consists of 10 sessions and is limited to 8 participants.  Sessions are facilitated by a Registered Psychotherapist and a Social Worker.



PROGRAM INCLUDES

10 one hour sessions (children only)
1 thirty minute feedback appointment (optional) after completion of the group (with parent/s)

Dates: Monday, Friday and Saturday
Time: 6:15pm, 7:30pm, 9:15am, 10:30am
Cost: $15 / session
Ages: 8-10, 11-13

*Limited enrolment: (max 8)
