Born in South Korea and immigrating to Canada at a young age, she developed a profound appreciation for resilience, identity, and belonging. Her personal journey of adapting to a new culture has strengthened her understanding of life transitions, fueling her passion for supporting individuals as they navigate change and personal growth.
As a counsellor, Kim is committed to fostering a culturally sensitive and inclusive space where individuals and families feel truly heard, valued, and understood. With many years of experience supporting children and youth through education, mentorship and volunteer work, she has developed a strong ability to build therapeutic relationships that empower them to approach their challenges with confidence and resilience.
Kim approaches counselling through a Family Systems lens and integrates evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy to support her clients in meaningful and effective ways.
