Susan is approachable, empathetic and sensitive. Along with her professional training, Susan brings the life experiences of a wife, mother, widow, single parent, and subsequently, a parent of a blended family. These experiences along with her education, enable her to connect with people who have special needs, whether mental, physical or spiritual. She has compassion for parents who find themselves alone, lonely, or without adequate resources to face the daily battle of life, and respect for those who courageously seek help to overcome their challenges and disappointments.
Susan’s desire is to help parents who find themselves in crisis, life transitions, or in difficult circumstances, to clarify and achieve their goals, overcome obstacles and meet new challenges with confidence. She uses a variety of counselling modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Solution Focused Therapy.
For relaxation, she enjoys mid-distance running with her dog, reading and spending time with her family and friends.
