Kim is a dedicated and empathetic psychotherapist whose curiosity about people’s diverse life experiences has shaped her path in counselling. Born in South Korea and immigrating to Canada at a young age, she developed a deep appreciation for resilience, identity, and belonging. Her own experience of adapting to a new culture strengthened her understanding of life transitions and fuels her passion for supporting others through change and personal growth.
Kim has a special passion for working with children and youth experiencing anxiety, family transitions, or separation. She provides a warm and safe space where young clients feel supported as they navigate difficult emotions, build coping skills, and strengthen their sense of self. Alongside this, she has also supported clients with ADHD, Autism, anger, and social challenges, giving her a broad perspective on the unique needs of children and families.
Practicing through a Family Systems lens, Kim integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Her relational and strengths-based style empowers clients to feel understood, build resilience, and move toward meaningful growth.
